“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might… For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, …” (Ephesians 6:10,12-14/NKJV).
I personalized this devotional excerpt from Dr. Charles Stanley:
I am in a real battle, which requires real weapons. The Lord has given me the helmet of salvation so that I will not surrender my mind to ungodly thinking. The breastplate of righteousness protects my emotions from giving way to natural desires. I also put on the belt of truth, which enables me to walk in godly principles rather than according to my flesh. And the Lord has provided a true shield of faith to me because there are actual darts of doubt. In other words, I am at war, but I am well-equipped for it. God always leads me in triumph.
Be sure to always wear your armor everywhere!
In the meantime…
To Everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:… (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD direct his steps. (Proverbs 16:9)
